Switched

I recently started reading Switched by Amanda Hocking. This book has some romance and fantasy in it. I usually don't read fantasy books so I wonder if I will enjoy the book or not. The series has three books in it and I want to read them too in the future. In Switched Wendy finds out that she was switched at birth with a human. A tracker named Fin comes back to take her to where she came from. which is Trylle. Over there she meets her real mom but isn't happy about leaving. That is how far I have gotten in the book.

In predict that in the future Wendy will start to fit in but will still miss her family. I think she will also reunite with her brother. She will probably have difficulty getting use to being a princess because she wasn't a princess before. Right now Wendy and her real mom don't have a very good relationship but I think the more Wendy lives with her in the same house they will start to get closer and will have a good relationship in the end.

I wonder if Wendy will ever get to go back to her old house. She is living in her new home right now but I think she will probably start missing home and go back. If she does go back she will have to sneak out somehow. I also wonder if she will ever find out why she was switched at birth. Since she just got back to Trylle nobody is telling her why she was switched or who she really is. Everything is all a mystery to Wendy right now.

Allegiant 3

I am reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth and am near the end of the book now. This book was very interesting and always had something happening in it. I was reading the book all the time because of how good it was. The author did a good job at making the book suspenseful. She also did a really good job at describing everything in detail so you felt like you were in that setting. The details were very descriptive and helped the reader imagine the scene very well.

One thing I really liked about the book was that the chapters were point of views from Tris and Tobias. I liked having two different people narrating instead of just one person. You could also really see how the situations affected each person in different ways. I also liked when the characters were just talking to each other and weren't fighting or trying to run form something. When the characters were just talking to each other you got to see their personalities and what kind of a person they were. Since there was so much action you didn't really get to know the character that well.

I would recommend this book to people who like suspense and action. The book always had something happening which kept you wanting to read more. Whenever I did stop reading it I couldn't wait to go back to it and start reading it again. There are a lot of parts that can make you nervous just because they are so suspenseful. I would also recommend this book to people who like utopias. Here is a link to where you can get the book: http://www.amazon.com/Allegiant-Divergent-Series-Veronica-Roth/dp/006202406X

Allegiant

Allegiant is the last book in the Divergent series. The series is about a girl named Tris who is a Divergent. It is about how she was part of the dauntless faction but the Erudite wanted power and eventually there was war. Soon, there are no factions anymore and everyone is trying to survive. In Allegiant there is tension between the factionless and the members of the old factions because they want different things.  The author of the book is Veronica Roth. She is most known for writing Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant.

Veronica Roth attended Carleton College for a year. She transferred to Northwestern University for the creative writing program they had. She wrote Divergent during her senior year at Northwestern University. The book was very successful and her career took off. The movie rights for the book were sold before she graduated from college. She was 22 years old when Divergent made it to the New York Times best sellers.

Veronica Roth was inspired to write Divergent because of multiple reasons. One of the reasons was because of something she had learned in Psychology 101. She learned that "Exposure therapy is a technique in behavior therapy intended to treat anxiety disorders and involves the exposure to the feared object or context without any danger in order to overcome their anxiety." This is where she got the idea for Dauntless initiation. Another reason was because of a song called Sweet Sacrifice by Evanescence. At one part of the song she got a picture of a girl jumping off a roof to prove that she was brave. Those are some things that inspired her to write Divergent and the whole trilogy. Allegiant

The first boom I chose to read this semester is Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I chose to read this book because I had read the first two books and I really wanted to read the third one to know what happens. The first two books were very interesting so it made me want to read Allegiant even more. I knew I would love the book and that I would enjoy reading it. Another reason why I chose to read this book is because I like books that are about utopias and I like books that show the main character going through different problems but still staying strong.
So far Allegiant has been very interesting. Every page something exciting happens and there is a ton of action happening throughout the book. The author adds a lot of detail so you can imagine what is happening while you read it. I haven't wanted to stop reading every time I read the book. There is always something happening and it makes you want to just keep reading so you can find out what happens.
Something I really like about the book is that each chapter alternates between Tris and Tobias. The other books only had Tris as the narrator. With Tobias and Tris both as the narrators the readers are able to see two different point of views. That is a really good thing too because there is a lot happening in the book. With two point of views I can see what is happening in two different places at the same time.
