Torn

Last week I finished Switched. Switched is part of the Trylle series and since I liked it so much I decided to read Torn this week, which is the second book in the series. So far Torn has been pretty good. The beginning grabs your attention more than the first book did because you already know what is going on and what the problem is. Torn has a couple of new characters and you see the main character start to change more and become more mature.

Wendy, who is the main character, was quiet and not very confident in the first book. She has gone through so much that now in Torn she is starting to become more responsible and confident. Now that she knows why she was different in the mortal world and where she came from everything is making more sense and she is able to concentrate on other things to be a good princess and help her Trylle. When found out her real mother was a queen and she was a princess, confused and afraid. But, she had a few people to help her through that. Now she is knows what she is supposed to do and what is best for Trylle. She has to help the people in Trylle and make it a safer and better place for them to live in.

Switched #4

I finished reading Switched this week. It was a very good book and I really enjoyed reading it. I am definitely going to read more books of this genre. Many people would enjoy this book even if they are not use to reading books of this genre. Even though I loved the book there were some things that I didn't like as well as many things that I loved about the book.

Something I didn't really like about the book was that the beginning was a little slow. But, once you got further in the book it started to get really interesting. One thing I liked about the book was how detailed it was. It explained the setting very well and it also explained the characters feelings very well. Switched #3

I have been reading the book Switched and I am coming close to the end of the book. I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved reading a genre that was a little different for me. The book had many parts that left you thinking about what could happen next. Most of the book was very descriptive and helped you visualize the setting the character was in. I really liked how the author put the book in first person point of view because I was able to see what the main character, Wendy, was feeling and what was going through her mind. The book had so many different things going on at once so sometimes it was hard to follow along but overall the book was amazing.

I would recommend this book to people who like fantasies and romance. Even of you don't read these kinds of books you should still try reading because you might end up liking it. The author included some situations that a real person could go through so some people might even be able to relate a little to the book. There are many parts that really surprise you and many cliffhangers so if you are a person who likes that you should read Switched.

This book is part of a series of book called the Trylle series. There are three books in the series. I plan on reading the other two books because I loved Switched so much. The next book in the series is called Torn and the one after that is Ascend. They both are the same genre and have a few new characters that are introduced. I think that the next two books will be just as good as Switched because the author did such a good job on the first book. To learn more about the Trylle series go to: http://www.worldofamandahocking.com/trylle

Switched #2

I recently started reading Switched by Amanda Hocking and I am really enjoying it. The book is something I wouldn't read but I surprisingly really like it so far. So far Switched has had a lot of interesting events happen that keep me wanting to read more. There are also a lot of things that are mysteries and they make the reader wonder a lot. Amanda Hocking did a very good job at making the book something you would never want to put down.

Amanda Hocking used to write many books when she was younger. One day she decided to sell her book on Amazon because all the publishing companies rejected her books. Selling the books on Amazon turned out very well for her. In six months she sold 150,000 copies of her books. After 20 months she had sold 1.5 million books and she did it all herself, without any help.

Amanda Hocking really liked paranormal romance so she knew she wanted to stay in that genre. She was looking for what was popular to write about and she eventually came across a few lines from Scandinavian folklore. That is where she got the idea for Switched. She was able to write Switched in a week. Amanda Hocking went to agents but all of them rejected her book. She tried multiple times to make the book better and changed some things but everyone still rejected her. Even though she got rejected so many she still worked on the sequel to Switched and after releasing some of her other books herself she also published Switched and many people really enjoyed it.
